Switzerland - Europe

Sedrun - Oberalppass: Bien di at the rhine source - Skitouring week Sedrun - Oberalppass: Bien di at the rhine source
29.01 - 03.02.2023
Welcome to one of the most versatile ski touring regions in Graubünden! The selection of attractive tour destinations ranges from the tours around the Oberalp Pass to the well-known Oberalpstock! The high alpine, impressive scenery will thrill us, as will the long descents through wild valleys or over endless slopes. Our hosts at the Hotel La Cruna will pamper us, and for some well-deserved relaxation, we have the "Oasa da ruaus" bathing area in the hotel or the Bogn Sedrun wellness and adventure pool at our disposal. It's great to have you with us!
The uppermost part of the Bündner Oberland or Surselva is called Tujetsch and, with its side valleys, offers a multitude of the most beautiful ski tours. The locals greet each other here with a hearty "bien di, buna sera" or "bien onn". This greeting is in keeping with the Romansh tradition, and Romansh is still the official language.

Your advantages at a glance

- Varied touring area with many delicacies
- First-class hotel with excellent cuisine and in-house wellness facilities
- partly shortened ascents due to the use of the cable cars
- We know this area like the back of our hand, we are at home in Graubünden!

Day 5: The great classic of the Surselva, the Oberalpstock, 3327 m, is on our programme today! With the mountain railways from Disentis we reach an altitude of 2770 m at Piz Ault. A first ascent brings us to the foot of the gap in the rocky ridge, which we reach with the help of iron stirrups and fixed ropes. A short descent brings us to the Brunnifirn, from where we take the climb to the summit under our feet. After enjoying the extensive views, we return to Sedrun through the well-known Val Strem.
700 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.

Day 6: Final tour to Piz Cavradi, 2614 m. A short descent from the Oberalp Pass brings us to Surpalits, 1831 m, from where we enjoy the gentle ascent to Camona da Maighels, 2314 m. The last metres to the summit are once again a long climb. The last metres to the summit are steep once again before we can enjoy the view over the Tujetsch. Descent over the racy northern slopes to Tschamut. We end our last day of touring on the terrace with a well-deserved final drink!
800 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.

This tour programme is only a suggestion, many other great ski tour destinations are possible. We adapt the actual programme to the weather and snow conditions, the current avalanche situation and the ability and wishes of the participants.
