Bivio is an absolutely snow-sure and varied touring area. Many tours start in the village, and thanks to the Julierpass road, which is open all year round, we also have access to tour possibilities near the pass. The Engadine is not far away, so we can also do one or two tours south of the Julier Pass. From the far more than 40 worthwhile ski tour destinations around Bivio and the Julier Pass, there are thus many more interesting tour possibilities available to us south of the Julier Pass in case of uncertain weather on the northern side of the Alps. In the traditional Hotel Solaria we will be spoiled by the hostess Giovanna Torriani and her team with delicacies from kitchen and cellar!

Day 1: Meeting point at 6.00 pm at the Hotel Solaria in Bivio. We get to know each other over a first aperitif and can exchange initial information on the current snow situation and on avalanches and weather. After dinner we discuss the tour of the first day and check the touring equipment.

Day 2: Our first tour starts at Alp Güglia south of the Julier Pass. Short ascent through the Valletta dal Güglia and up to just below the summit of Corn Suvretta, 3071m. We walk the last few metres. From the summit we enjoy a breathtaking view of Piz Julier and the Jenatsch area. Descent back to Alp Güglia.
860 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.

Day 3: Start directly at the village exit for the tour to the Roccabella, 2730 m. After the easy part through the valley of Tgavretga the tour climbs, the summit rewards us with a spectacular view of the Sursés. Worthwhile descent over open slopes back to the village.
960 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

Day 4: From the Julier Hospiz we visit one of the great classics on the Julier Pass, the Piz Surgonda, 3196m. The ascent is entertaining and varied, the descent variants numerous and attractive!
960 m altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

Day 5: The winter summit of Piz Lagrev, 3109 m, offers an extremely rewarding and attractive touring destination on the south side of the Julier Pass. The north-facing slopes promise beautiful powder snow and quickly make you forget the last steep metres below the summit. The view of the Bernina massif will thrill us! Racy descent back to the Julierpass road.
950 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

Day 6: We start our final tour on Piz Turba, 3017 m, with a ride on the ski lifts! From the end point of the lifts we enjoy a gentle ascent in the first part, a last short and steeper slope brings us up to the ski depot. Short ascent on foot to the summit, from where we once again enjoy a tremendous panoramic view. From the ski depot we make the long descent back to Bivio! We end our last day of touring on the terrace with a well-deserved final drink!
460 metres in altitude, ascent time approx. 2 hours.

This tour programme is only a suggestion. We adapt the actual programme to the weather and snow conditions, the current avalanche situation and the skills and wishes of the participants.
