Bivio is an absolutely snow-sure and varied touring area. Many tours start in the village, and thanks to the Julier Pass road, which is open all year round, we also have access to tours close to the pass. The Engadin is not far away, so we can also organise one or two tours south of the Julier Pass. From the well over 40 rewarding ski tour destinations around Bivio and the Julier Pass, there are many more interesting tour options available to us south of the Julier Pass if the weather on the north side of the Alps is uncertain. At the traditional Hotel Solaria, we will be spoilt by our host Giovanna Torriani and her team with delicacies from the kitchen and cellar!

Day 1: Meeting point at 6.00 pm at the Hotel Solaria in Bivio. We get to know each other over an initial aperitif and can exchange initial information about the current snow situation, avalanches and weather. After dinner, we discuss the tour for the first day and check the touring equipment.

Day 2: Our first tour starts on Alp Güglia south of the Julier Pass. An entertaining ascent through the Valletta dal Güglia and up to just below the summit of Corn Suvretta, 3071 metres. We walk the last few metres on foot. From the summit we enjoy a breathtaking view of Piz Julier and the Jenatsch region. Descent back to Alp Güglia.
860 metres in altitude, ascent time approx. 3 hours.

Day 3: Start directly at the village exit for the tour to Roccabella, 2730 m. After the leisurely part through the valley of Tgavretga, the tour climbs, the summit rewards us with a spectacular view of the Sursés. A rewarding descent over open slopes back to the village.
960 metres in altitude, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

Day 4: From the Julier Hospiz we visit one of the great classics on the Julier Pass, the Piz Surgonda, 3196 metres. The ascent is entertaining and varied, the descent options are numerous and attractive!
960 vertical metres, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

Day 5: Our final tour takes us to the winter summit of Piz Lagrev, 3109 m, an extremely rewarding and attractive tour destination on the south side of the Julier Pass. The north-facing slopes promise beautiful powder snow and quickly make you forget the last steep metres below the summit. The view of the Bernina massif will inspire us! Racy descent back to the Julier Pass road. We end our last day of touring on the terrace of La Veduta with a well-deserved final drink!
950 metres in altitude, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.

This tour programme is only a suggestion. We will adapt the actual programme to the weather and snow conditions, the current avalanche situation and the ability and wishes of the participants.
